Welcome

Welcome to my 2011 follow up to the hugely successful blog of 'Jotown and Wally on the road'.

Here you'll be able to follow my quiet 'lifestyle',as I wander around the highways, byways, mountains and trails of Europe, in my van affectionately called 'Wally', or further afield using metal wings !

If I'm around where you are, and you want me to call - or visit me...just let me know ..

You can follow my adventures and keep in touch by posting messages whilst I am travelling.

For those of you who are returning for the second season then I expect more messages than in 2010....... this year there is a counter of page views at the foot of the page, so I will be watching.....!

NYC becomes even ‘Greener’..

The day started wet and wild, so I took it easy deciding what to do…

As the rain eased around 10 a.m.New York 229 I set off for a great walk along the Riverside , passing lots of old river piers, and sights before arriving at the USS Intrepid, air and space museum http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/ - a decommissioned Aircraft carrier.. along with USS Grumbley- a nuclear submarine, a British Airways Concorde (closed today though). New York 249A great visit, lots of other aircraft both within its hangers, and on its flight deck - mainly small fighter jets. I spent all day there, seeing everything I could, including a Space capsule (which I had a try in!) until around 4 p.m.

Eventually I decided it was time to leave and so I walked back via Times Square, New York 333by now filling with the ’Irish’ from around the world – a big day tomorrow !

I got  home for 6-30 p.m. for a simple meal in,and ready for the next day to come….
