Welcome

Welcome to my 2011 follow up to the hugely successful blog of 'Jotown and Wally on the road'.

Here you'll be able to follow my quiet 'lifestyle',as I wander around the highways, byways, mountains and trails of Europe, in my van affectionately called 'Wally', or further afield using metal wings !

If I'm around where you are, and you want me to call - or visit me...just let me know ..

You can follow my adventures and keep in touch by posting messages whilst I am travelling.

For those of you who are returning for the second season then I expect more messages than in 2010....... this year there is a counter of page views at the foot of the page, so I will be watching.....!

No time to Rest Dad !

Joseph (and Nicola) insisted I had a ‘schedule’ so that I wouldn’t miss any of the sights of NYC, so I was up early, having slept really well, and as Joseph and Nicola left for work, I was out myself to have a look round !

Well, I’ve been well and truly seeing the sights of New York…

From the surreal experience of being in ‘Irish Bars’ on the first night, listening to the sounds of Oasis…and viewing adverts for Boddingtons beer !! A real home from home…

My first days sightseeing entailed a walk through Central park,http://www.centralparknyc.org/  viewing Belvedere Castle, around Jackie Onassis reservoir New York 008, up to Columbia University, then two massive churches on Riverside http://www.theriversidechurchny.org/, and Columbia University http://www.columbia.edu/ , up to Ulysses S Grants tomb http://www.nps.gov/gegr/index.htm(who ?), and back along the Hudson River, and along Broadway…in the rain !

Phew, and that was just the start, and not just the start, when Joseph got home…he even checked m photos to make sure I’d been where I said !

Would I survive …read on !
