I looked out to see the black clouds still present, and not fancying another days soaking, settled for finishing my book, and lying in bed for the morning-and trying to dry my wet things hanging inside Wally –with the heating on !
However, by late morning, the clouds had started to receed, and the sun put an appearance in, so I rigged up the line, and hung my gear out to dry, and had a pleasant lunch sat in the sunshine.
As the day wore on, it got nicer and nicer, I had a meander around Fuente De,although the sun was shining, it was still cold, and I needed my jacket.
On the campsite El Redondo, was an old grain store, supported off the ground on stilts, with flat stones on the tops of the stilts –to keep mice out, and beneath it was an old cart, with wooden wheels, some of which were bounded in iron, others not. Also in amongst the old tools were an old sledge, and also a ‘studded board’, which I think was for breaking up the ground, although I’m still not sure –any ideas anyone ?
I returned and sat on the patio of the campsite, on what I’m sure in summer is a busy bar area (closed), watching the grapes grow and admiring the scenery…
Ready for a busier day tomorrow, and an early night.
